Optimal portability
The Portapres® is the ambulatory Finapres technology solution. The Portapres® offers on top of standard ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) insight into hemodynamic parameters such as stroke volume and cardiac output. For almost 20 years the technology has proven itself in clinical settings, high altitude research on mountain heights and in space by top scientific institutes like NASA. Data can be stored and retrieved using the BeatScope® software. Also wireless solutions can be offered to monitor subjects remotely.


Exercise
Exercise

The Portapres® can easily be used during exercise as long as the hand can be kept in a reasonable stable position. Generally speaking the arm is wrapped with a mitella or other bandage to assure optimal conditions. In case the hand can be fixed in another way such as holding a handhold during an incremental bicycle ergonometry test a mitella is not needed.

The Portapres® is a true ambulatory blood pressure monitor with a built in memory card for over 60 hours of recording. The only action you should take is changing the batteries when they run out of power. Offline BeatScope® software offers full insight in the patients hemodynamics. Optional real-time and remote solutions can be offered.

Almost everywhere
Almost everywhere

The Portapres® can be used virtually everywhere. The operating temperature should stay between 0 and 35 degrees Celsius (32 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit) and the humidity should stay between 5 and 90% non-condensing conditions.

Comfort
Comfort

The main unit is located in a waist belt and weights about 1.5 kg (3.3 lbs). The front end unit located around the wrist is easily strapped and connects the main unit with the finger cuff.

The dual cuff system provides the option to switch between fingers on set intervals. This increases patient comfort compared to single cuff systems. The Portapres® is able to record up to 60 hours. The dual cuff system makes sure that the finger can rest on intermittent intervals.
