Non-invasive ambulatory cardiovascular research made easy

Physiology
Neurophysiologists, cardiovascular physiologists, sports physiologists as well as other physiologists such as psychophysiologists have a special interest in hemodynamics in relation to their field of expertise. Finapres devices are used in many research settings because of their accuracy, optimal trending possibilities and portability. Our Portapres® is used by NASA in space to evaluate the changes in the cardiovascular system during the microgravity conditions of spaceflight and aboard the ISS (International Space Station). On a daily basis our equipment is used in a range of services such as neurological, sports and occupational rehabilitation.

A wealth of information about the use of Finapres devices and especially the Portapres® in space research can be found in the NASA Life Science Data Archive at the Johnson Space Center, Houston, Texas. Please click here to view the archive. The quality, portability and technology of Finapres systems are providing NASA top scientists the opportunity to do hemodynamic research on the ground, in flight missions and during extended stays in space (ISS formerly MIR). The Portapres® has been on many missions providing important information for advanced research projects. Our Portapres® is used by NASA in space to evaluate the changes of microgravity conditions of spaceflight and abroad the ISS (International Space Station).
